Our family............

Richard And Kyra Carmany
Alyssa Stutzman

Kyra and I have been best friends since 9th grade at Donegal High School.

After completing school, and college, we both went on to follow different life paths, but always staying in touch. In 2000 I moved back to Lancaster, from Philadelphia, which allowed us to spend more time together. In 2003 our friendship developed into more and after a few years, we got engaged on 26th December, 2005. We were married 4th April, 2006, at which time we combined our two separate households into one family home which also includes Kyra's daughter, Alyssa.

I have always been a Christmas light fanatic, and have been putting up good sized displays for the past 6 years while residing at 404 Hilton Drive in Lancaster.

It has also become a tradition to keep enlarging the Christmas light display, whether from things people have donated to the display or from a few finds during the year. This is not only to satisfy the kid in all of us, but to "give the gift" of giving to the community, in the form of the Christmas light display.   I started a few years back with a vision of trying to use the light display as a way to raise the awareness of people in need, along with the true meaning of Christmas, and to help raise funds for great charities and just to try and get the "giving/Christmas spirit" to spark in as many people as possible.

Last year's Christmas light display raised almost $3,000 for local charities.

Now that we have moved into the new family residence, with a good sized yard, it has given me room to expand the display, which has almost doubled in size since last year, and we still have plenty of room to grow over the coming years.

The annual Christmas light display is now turning into a family affair and annual tradition.   All through this past year we planned and searched for items and then we all got together and did our part to make it come to life for us all to enjoy (WHEN IT GOT FIRED UP)!!!

Hopefully, we are able to keep the real reason for the season in focus and that we do not all get caught up in the commercialism that Christmas has become, and sincerely hope we are able to help spread the Christmas spirit..........

THAT IT .....(CHRISTMAS).... is ALL about giving from the HEART, NOT from the WALLET NOR out of expectation, or obligation, BUT BECAUSE YOU WANT TO DO IT!!!

Each Christmas season turns out to be such a great Holiday, with meeting so many great people, hearing about how people are passing on the Christmas cheer.... and WE ARE looking forward to doing the same in our new neighborhood, NOT only this year BUT for MANY years to come.

From our family to yours, may this be The Merriest   and BRIGHTEST of Christmases, not only for you and yours/family, but also for all our fellowmen!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! with a very prosperous New year!!!
